Wi Yew's Diary 02
8th August 2013
This is the second week for CSCI321. I've got myself into a group and exchanging contacts.
At first, I'm not sure about how are we going to complete this project but with the care and help of my group member. I finally understand more on hash function slowly. I'm not sure what I could help to support this group but I'll do my best and dedicate myself to learn more on cryptography.
As for now, I understand that cryptographic hash functions consist of 5 properties:-
1. It can be applied to any size input.
2. The output must be of fixed size.
3. One-way.
4. Second pre-image resistant.
5. Collision resistant.
